B-24 - The Liberator
My dad (Kenneth E. Engle 1924-2009) was a tail-gunner, and my father-in-law(John T. Ferris 1924-2016) was a pilot. They were born a week apart, the same year. Greatest generation, same type plane, same war, different theaters. Both of their mothers saw their return. Many did not. Both are heroes.

More YouTube movies of this plane than you can throw a control stick at. Dad was 5th Air Force, 90th Bomb Group, 319th Squadron. Fun to find this video of an RC (Remote Control) of the 90th Bomb Group, 320th squadron, with the famous "skull and crossbones" on the tail.
